The Most Dangerous Lie We Believe

The most dangerous lie isn’t that God doesn’t exist. It’s that He doesn’t care.

I’ve seen it in the eyes of exhausted parents, in the stories of addicts, and in the silent prayers of pastors burning out. We know God can do miracles. We just aren’t sure if He wants to do them for us.

That’s the lie: that God is distant, uninterested, or disappointed in you. But that’s not the Gospel.

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18 (NIV)

He’s not far off. He’s close. So close, in fact, that He came down into our mess, died on a cross, and rose again so we’d never have to wonder if we mattered.
